Stochastic Thermodynamics and the Physics of Life

Hello! I’m Alvaro, a second year PhD student at King’s College London. With my supervisor, Stefano Bo, I use theoretical tools from statistical physics to probe life at fluctuation-dominated scales. Keeping close to real, experimentally accessible systems, we are currently developing methods to measure dissipation at these scales, and investigate what such observations can reveal about the underlying physics of the system.
